Which file formats are supported?
EPUB and TXT. Your ebook is parsed locally in your browser and never uploaded to a server.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Just open the page and start — there is no account and no login.
Where are my books and audio stored? Is it safe?
Everything is stored locally in your own browser (IndexedDB) and is never uploaded to our servers. Clearing your browser data will erase it, so export anything important.
Do I need an internet connection?
Importing and reading work locally, but generating speech requires an internet connection (it calls a speech synthesis service).
Can I export to MP3 or M4B?
Yes. Export MP3 chapter by chapter, or merge everything into a single M4B file with chapter markers for offline listening on your phone or player.
Is it free?
It is completely free right now, with no sign-up required for any feature.
